A little update for the new year

Just so everyone knows.
We're not quite dead yet.

I'm doing some new-years cleaning around here trying to put a few things in order.

Right now we're waiting on the return of one of our Superiors, so you won't see anything major major until she is back, but I'm hoping for an event sometime soon! How does everyone feel about an exchange in January or February?

We're working on some list updates right now, and in the meantime if members want something to do, I strongly recommend noting ~Org-Missions for a mission. =Trista-Katagata and myself are always ready to hand them out to anyone who wishes!
On that note, I am hoping that ~Org-Minions will be up and running soon.

So yeah, just letting y'all know we're alive.

New Missions

Wow. Lack of activity is hard on a club. Sure we could have peppered you with several nonsensical, unnecessary 'missions' to gauge your activity and make you think you're interested when you're heart (pun intended) isn't really into it. Instead we on the OI staff have waited, plotted, and planned until we came up with something we thought would be absolutely wonderful not only for you to participate in but for us to host. so we'd like to thank all of you for your time, your patience, and your creativity. And now, grab some popcorn, sit back, and enjoy the show.

We Nobodies are guarded, secretive types. We don't needlessly flaunt our talent like a Keyblader, nor do we cause a tasteless ruckus like the Heartless. We are plotters, movers, shapers, thinkers. We have been in the background from the very beginning. Our members were there when the Heartless first came to Destiny Island.

We watched as they squandered their resources, kept our fingers in every slice of the every pie. True, it is not often we become reflective, but if the mood strikes us- who are we to say no? And strike us it has. Now is the time for understanding beginnings. Going back to basics you might say. We Superiors' look at our swelling ranks and we have to wonder, how did everyone get here? That's what we require of you, minion, a tale of sorts. A story of where you've come from and why you're here. Time to go out and figure out your creation- that is, if you don't already remember. What gruesome act befell your Somebody that you would end up here? We look forward to being dazzled. See if you can tug our imaginary heartstrings.

REQUIREMENTS:

What: The a comic or story about the beginning of your existence. All Nobodies come from a Somebody after all.
When: All entries are due APRIL 13
How: Draw a comic or write a story. Written works should be over a page long and include a placer image. As always, everything must be edited and done to the best of your ability.

ALL ART AND MISSION SUBMISSIONS MUST MEET THE FOLLOWING STANDARDS:

Any and all written documents must be spell and grammar checked.
Christmas is over, we don't wanna see your story lighting up red and green when we open it in Microsoft Word.

All written paper work must meet or exceed one page in length, typed.
Handwritten work will not be accepted.
Making your font larger to meet this quota will also not be accepted.

All written pieces must include an illustration.

All drawn submissions must show some signs of effort.
That means clean, full color, attention to detail, and easy to read. (Jagged edges and scratches or smudges from scanning is NOT okay.)

Digital artwork is good and encouraged, but pixel artwork for a submitted character sheet is not.

If you have more then one page in your comic, please merge them together for OI submission.
It means less work for us and your piece is uploaded that much sooner.

Applications sent that do not include all the requirements will be rejected.
It is up to you to read the guidelines and submit it correctly.

Currently the OI staff is no longer answering individual questions.
If you have a question please read the supplied FAQ. Additionally, the FORUMS and CHAT are excellent tools for help.

Also, when we say applications are closed, we mean applications are closed.
Disregarding this rule will be an indicator to us as to whether or not you can in fact read and obey the rules and will be taken into account if you were to submit at a later date.

All new quality standards will be strictly enforced so that active members have clear and fair treatment.

For over a year, O-I has been one of DA’s highest-standing and most popular Organization fan clubs. We’re a group of people who love the story and characters of Kingdom Hearts so much that fanart simply wasn’t enough. No, we all went the extra mile and created our very own original Nobodies.

Set in the time period after Sora’s defeat of the Thirteen, O-I continues the story as new nobodies eventually start to come into being once more, and follows them as they seek hearts (and power) of their own. Join us in our quest at O-I. Together with our sister branches, *Org-Missions and the new addition ~Org-Minions (the accounts where we handle mission assignments and register lesser Nobody underlings -- coming soon!), we’ll show you that being heartless isn’t so bad.}

Edit: Oh yeah, and the poll? Was just a poll. I wanted to see opinions. We've decided that dead member elements are not being given away and that is that.

So, we have a new journal layout now. I thought it could use a facelift. xD There will be a new ID done soon as well, so we'll have a new look.

We're pretty much brought up to speed with everything neglected during the hiatus. Lists have been re-checked, edited, and updated, notes are being answered quite quickly thanks to all our helping hands, and there will nearly always be someone in the chatroom (link at the bottom of this journal) to assist you.

Oh, and prospective memebers might want to note that the Rules and Joining Details pages have been separated and brought up to date as well! Details like the shoutbox entry and our header/footers have been edited too.

We're going to get cracking on Olympus art we owe you guys ASAP - I'd also like to ask anyone who hasn't turned in their Halloween art in yet to get working on that, please, the person you are drawing for has been waiting a while. Hmmm.... I also have to make new icons for the mission-givers.

After we get this all out of the way, hopefully we can have another event/contest to get us back on the monthly schedule. That might be in the new year.

For the record, too: *Org-Missions is totally operational again as well, so if you want a mission, do request one!

All the notes sitting in our inbox have been answered and almost all the artwork has been uploaded.

Now, I want to do a mass list update again;
If you are not on the Numbers/Elements/Proof Of Existence lists, please send a note.

Just remember: I KNOW the PoE hasn't been updated since #287 or so, I will be updating from the top, so if you're past 287, no need to send a note. If you were missed any earlier, please send that in.

If you have a name change we still haven't edited (I'm bad at that) or anything, also send that in please!

Me and Hawk are also going to be counting up how much art we owe you guys for the September event. It's going to be a lot; do you guys mind if they're just linearts with a plain colour of your OI characters, or something to that effect? It would simply be a LOT of noting and a lot of possible miscommunications if we asked everyone which character they would like drawn. Opinions?

As for the Halloween event, I KNOW some people haven't turned in artwork, and I know some people haven't gotten their assignments even; I don't know why. I had nothing to do with the event in general - ~Txenriks has all the information about it, and I'll try to contact her ASAP to sort that out too, guys!

Oh another note, I hope you have an awesome holiday.
I've been in this club for a year yesterday. Nyoro~n.
