Hello members and potential members, welcome to the rules, procedures, and recommendations to follow when applying for a place in the club.



CHARACTER SHEET GUIDELINES- PART I - - - - - - -

The following will be required on your design sheet in addition to your application:
1. A clean, scanned image. (No webcam or photos and no lined paper).
2. Color (Not completely rendered but at least a flat coloring).
3. Full body shot of your nobody. That means no headshots or busts (unless accompanied with the body shot).
4. Your Nobody's weapon with the Nobody symbol on it somewhere.
5. An action shot, in which your character is using/interacting with their chosen element in some way.
_{PLEASE NOTE: MEMBERS WHO ARE IN THE CLUB WILL NOT BE KICKED OUT DUE TO THESE NEW ART STANDARDS.}

If any new applicant's design sheets do not contain these listed items in their design sheet, then they will not be accepted and will be asked to bring their design sheet up to standards instantly.

We are also requesting that each note in the application have the following listed in the note for easy reading:

NOTE ETIQUETTE - - - - - - -

AND SPEAKING OF NOTES, we will be going over a few new note etiquette for the sake of easy answering and smoother timing on note answering and the like so we will be less backed up and have less lost notes.
This is for all members and pending members.

The following requests will be made.
They are not required, but they would make the superior's jobs much easier. So we would prefer this to be done:

ONE: Notes should be properly titled according to what they deal with.
------ Element Questions should be labeled 'Element Questions'
------ Applications for joining should be labeled 'Joining Application'
------ Mission Requests should be directed to *Org-Missions and labled 'Mission Requests'
------ New Art for the Gallery should be labeled 'Gallery Submission'
------ Anything contest/exchange related should be labeled after the event's name. _{IE: March Event for the latest event.}

TWO: When sending multiple pieces of artwork for submission in the gallery, we would appreciate it if you could paste the images together, for easy submission, that way we can link to each individual deviation in your gallery in the deviation description.


THREE: Another appreciative gesture is if you do not respond with one word notes.
It floods our inbox with more notes that add nothing to the conversation. If we send a note saying you are going to be checked via the superiors, or your image will be uploaded shortly we assume you've gotten it and read it.
We do not need confirmation of this.
Again, this is only to keep the number of extra notes to a minimum. We love you guys, but we just don't have time to read multitudes of notes telling us little things like "thanks" or "okay" or "I'll try to apply again soon".

FOUR: For people who ask for lists of elements to see if they are taken does not make our jobs easier, but it would help if you can get faster information from the people who hang in the Organization Infinity CHATROOM (LOCATED HERE) They know all the elements just as much as the Superiors. And they can answer things quickly.
_{A tip when asking for elements: First, go to the Member's Page A.K.A. the page with the members and their elements, worlds, names, weapons, and owners. Think up your element and press the macro ctrl+f [command+f for mac-users] and type in your element in the search function that pops up. If it doesn't show up as someone's element, now you have to visit a thesaurus. I recommend m-w.com or thesaurus.com. Type in your element and look at the synonyms. use most if not all of the synonyms back on the members page in the search function. If you're element is still free, you should then note it with everything else needed for O-I notes to the club.}

FIVE: We do not accept "furries". All characters must be relatively human, or a few other things that pertain to the Kingdom Hearts universe. For example, we do have a few members whose Others were mermen/mermaids.
They, as nobodies, are required to have legs and feet, but they were not, originally, human.





FOOD FOR THOUGHT - - - - - - -

Some people have asked how it is that we make our decision when reviewing applications. It's actually a very valid question, and I thought it would make sense to answer it here because it will help you know what we're looking for in prospective members.

Organization Infinity does not, and has not for a very long time, accept applications solely on a first come first serve, untaken element basis. While an original element and weapon are of course vital to being accepted, the actual process by which we decide whether or not to accept an applicant is cumulative.

What this means is, we judge applications based on the character as a whole. Yes, this includes aspects of the character sheet such as art quality. No, good art is not a guaranteed "in". However, because of the cumulative nature of the acceptance process, minor issues- things that are all right, but could be better- can sometimes be allowed anyway because of exceptional artistic effort or talent. Likewise, those less experienced in art can still make up for it by creating an exceptional character.

Applicants are judged based on things such as originality of element, weapon, and character design, as well as element use and, like I said above, art quality. However, I will tell you now some tips on things we like to see.

We like to be "wowed" - We love it more than anything else, in fact. There's nothing nicer than letting people join the Organization family. Things that "wow" us include: (note that all examples I use are TAKEN. Do not ask for them)

A Unified Character - one whose entire design, element, weapon, home world, etc., are very thought out and planned to fit one central theme.

Weapons and Elements that make sense together - Elements and weapons that mesh are so much easier to sell to us when explaining element use. I don't mean pick fire and a sword and have the sword be made of fire. Hells no. But picking Gold as an element, and its use being like Alchemy? Gold has a historical connection to alchemy because of the fabled attempts to trasmutate lead into gold. That makes this element neat, original, and it didn't have to be nonsensical to accomplish that.

Unusual Elements - We see enough requests for metals and gemstones and periodic table stuff to make a grown man weep. We're not saying to come in with something purposely ridiculous- just try to think outside the box. Jaxulinn's Genetics element is a particularly fine example of a both a very original element and a very good unified character.

Do all accepted entries make use of these "wow" tactics? Of course not. But at least attempting to put some thought into your overall design theme and elemental connection really does help your chances. And with the list of taken elements growing longer every day, people who can think out of the box are more likely to succeed.
